Maintenance & managed care — the site stays online, current and backed up

A site left alone eventually breaks.

A website is not a piece of furniture: components age, flaws get discovered, opening hours change, and an untested backup saves nobody. NEXUS AGENCE keeps your site online, up to date and backed up, applies the month's small edits and hands you a clear report — for one monthly plan, with no lock-in.

What the plan covers

The plan, line by line.

One price, no hidden tier. Here is exactly what happens every month to keep your showcase credible, fast and online — on the technical side as well as the content side.

Security updates

Patches for the site and its components are applied, the HTTPS certificate is tracked and renewed, and nothing is left on an abandoned version. That is what closes the door on automated attacks — the ones that strike at random.

3-2-1 backups

Three copies of the data, on two separate media, one of them kept off the production server. A full backup of the site — files, database and content — is taken every month. The whole 3-2-1 strategy fits on one page.

Tested restore

A backup that was never restored is false insurance. Restores are verified, and on a real incident the site is brought back from the last healthy backup at no extra charge.

Uptime monitoring + alerts

The site is checked regularly to confirm it answers. If it goes down, an alert fires automatically, followed by a diagnosis and an intervention scaled to the severity. The 24/7 monitoring service is described in detail elsewhere on this site.

Fixes & small edits

Broken layout, dead link, faulty form, code error: it gets fixed. Add one editing session per month — copy, contact details, prices, hours, images you supply — gathered into a single written request.

Monthly report

One simple page in plain language: updates applied, backups taken and verified, availability observed, edits completed, points to watch. You know what you pay for, every month.

One single plan: $59.99/month before taxes, renewed monthly, cancellable with 30 days' notice. Hosting and the domain name stay covered while the subscription is active. Payment is 50% / 50% for the site build, and maintenance always stays optional — never imposed.

Incident procedure

What happens, in order.

A site rarely goes down without anyone noticing: monitoring sees it before you do. Here is the exact sequence, from the signal back to normal service.

1. Detection

Monitoring notices the site has stopped responding, or that something abnormal has appeared. The alert fires immediately — you don't need to be in front of your screen for someone to know.

2. Acknowledgement within 1 business day

Every support request gets a reply no later than the next business day (Monday to Friday, excluding Quebec holidays). That commitment covers acknowledgement and assessment, not full resolution.

3. Diagnosis and severity

We look for the real cause: site code, host, domain name, expired certificate, failed update. A site that is offline goes to the top of the queue, ahead of planned content edits.

4. Restore from backup

If code or content is affected, the last verified full backup is restored. Incident restores are part of the plan — no surprise invoice at the worst possible moment.

5. Fix and verification

The fix is applied, then the key pages, the contact form and the mobile layout are retested before the case is closed. A problem fixed halfway always comes back.

6. Post-incident notes

The next monthly report explains what happened, what was corrected and what was put in place so it doesn't recur: an automatic update, an extra alert, one more copy.

What is not counted as an outage

The target availability is high, without being guaranteed at 100%. Not counted as a service shortfall: interruptions caused by the host or an external provider, an Internet outage, planned maintenance announced in advance, and problems tied to the client's own computer, browser or connection.

Major emergency: top priority, no time guarantee

A site that is offline is handled before anything else, but no resolution time is promised in advance: it depends on the cause. Minor fixes, for their part, are usually done within the following business days. Cybersecurity work takes over when an incident looks like a break-in rather than a breakdown.

What is not included

An honest plan also says what it does not do.

Maintenance keeps what already exists online, current and backed up. Anything that changes the nature of the site is quoted separately, on an estimate accepted before work begins — never after.

Redesigns and new pages

A new design, a new structure, a fully rebuilt site or extra pages are not part of the monthly plan. Those are separate mandates, quoted from the package grid before anything starts.

Heavy content

Writing full content, professional photo shoots, translations and bulk content migration all take real groundwork. They are quoted separately, with a realistic deadline attached.

Features and third-party integrations

Custom development, online payment, booking, newsletters or marketing emails, plugging in an external service: every integration is its own project, with its own testing and its own cost.

Third-party code, ongoing SEO, migration

Fixing code written by someone else, ongoing search optimization, advertising and web marketing are not included. Neither is migrating to another host: it is planned and billed as a distinct mandate.

Around the plan, every request outside its scope is estimated before it is undertaken, and you keep the decision. Nothing is added to an invoice without your written approval.

Frequently asked

What we get asked about maintenance.

What is included for $59.99/month?

Security updates and HTTPS certificate tracking, one full site backup per month with a verified restore, uptime monitoring with alerts, bug fixes, one small-edits session per month and a monthly report. Hosting and the domain name stay covered while the subscription is active.

How do I request an edit?

One written message per month, where you gather your requests: copy, contact details, prices, hours, supplied images. They are applied within a reasonable time. Working this way avoids constant back-and-forth and keeps the plan at a fixed price.

What happens if the site goes down?

Monitoring raises the alert, the cause is diagnosed, and an offline site goes to the top of the queue. If the backup has to be restored, the restore is included in the plan. You get an acknowledgement no later than the next business day after your request.

How do you know the backup works?

Because it is actually restored. The 3-2-1 strategy — three copies, two separate media, one off-site — is worthless if nobody ever tested the restore. A full page explains that test and what it reveals.

Is there a minimum term?

No. The subscription renews monthly and is cancelled with 30 days' notice. You keep ownership of your domain name and your content: if you leave, the files are handed over. Maintenance stays an option, never an obligation buried in the build contract.

Can maintenance rebuild my site?

No, and that is deliberate: the plan maintains the site, it does not transform it. A redesign, a new page or a custom feature is quoted separately. For the defense and compliance side, there is also the cybersecurity service.
